OPI Soft Shades 2016! Full of Pastels!

I'm excited to show this collection today and it's the OPI Soft Shades 2016 collection!

OPI Soft Shades 2016 is a 6 colour collection full of pastel colours! Yeah! My favourite favourite favourite colours and they are all so beautiful!

OPI Soft Shades 2016

Seriously I can't get enough of them. Even though I probably already have dozens of similar shades in my stash, I still can't resist grabbing them all. I will never get bored of pastels!

And because I love all of them, I can't decide which colour to use first so I used all of them together. LOL

OPI Soft Shades 2016 French Tips

Overall I think the colours are beautiful, but the application needs a little work. They are a little sheer and streaky at first, but will even out with more coats. I used 3 coats for all of these.

A bad idea to use 1 of the pastels as the colour for the tips though, as it needed a lot of coats to cover the base colour. In the end it looked kind of thick and gets smudged easily.

I accidentally bumped my index finger while looking through my polish stash and you can see the imperfection there.. Haha.

If you don't already have these, I recommend you to get them now! You need them in your life, just as I do! LOL

For readers in Singapore & Malaysia, the OPI Soft Shades 2016 collection is now available for sale at PolishAlley.com

Duo-color Tips

Duo-color Tips

Another set of french tips manicure today! I really love french tips because they look so clean & nice even when your nails grow out. :)

Today's nails was actually inspired by a stranger on the train. I was standing beside her and she had this design on her nails.. And the first  thought that flashed through my mind was.. this is actually easy enough for me to do.

So.. tadah! What do you think?

For my base, I used OPI Int’l Crime Caper which is a pearly white shimmer polish with purple flash. I think this polish would look really great over a dark base as well.

Here's a pic with a better view of the purple flash..

Duo-color Tips

As for the tips, I used 2 of the creme shades from the OPI Coca Cola collection - OPI You're So Vain-illa and OPI Sorry I'm Fizzy Today.

OPI You're So Vain-illa is a light beige creme polish, while OPI Sorry I'm Fizzy Today is a creamy light pink polish. Both shades had great formula and are both inspired by the Vanilla Coke.. which is probably why I keep wanting to pair the 2 of them together.

That's all for today! I'm actually doing my nails again while typing out this post.. I'm on a roll! Haha.. All I can say is the new camera is really motivating me to do my nails more often!

Look forward to my new post soon!

Did a simple manicure today and I'm loving it!

OPI What Wizardy Is This with Jade Psicodelica

I combined a Holo polish Jade Psicodelica with a sands polish OPI What Wizardy Is This? and it gorgeous~!!

Loving the contrast over here. Too bad I managed to smudge it right after I took my photos by scratching myself and tips got rubbed off.

Red & Gold French Tips

Red & Gold French Tips

Did a really simple set of nails the other night as I'm working the next day and didnt want to stay up late from doing my nails.

I'm half half about this colour combination.. not too sure if I like it or not. I think it might be because the red is slightly more coral than actually being red (if you know what I mean). A fiercer red might match the gold better.

BUT I'm loving OPI Sands Honey Ryder! For anyone who is still able to get OPI Honey Ryder, you must get it! It's like pure molted gold! Super gorgeous!

Not sure if it's how I painted the tips though, there's no texture for the Honey Ryder there.

So what do you think? Do you like it?

A England Saint George

I have A England Saint George on today!

Saint George is a deep dark green/teal holographic polish and it's really absolutely gorgeous! Actual colour in real life is slightly more green than shown in the picture.

I added some holographic silver stripping tape for a french tips effect & I totally love how it turned out! It looks so classy and with so much personality. <3

What do you think?

Simple French Tips

Sorry for disappearing for such a long time.. I'm still painting my nails, I just got really lazy in taking photos of them and posting them up. =P Quite a few times I really wanted to post about my nails but didnt take any photos until it started to chip.. -.-"

Anyway I just did a simple french tips today, hope you'll like it. I also used fimo for the first time! Yes, I'm slow.. I know.. =P

Fimo confuses me. I dont know if I'm supposed to put top coat over it as it's kind of 3D and pops up (not sticking entirely to the nail). I didnt put top coat for this as I have a really strong feeling it'll destroy the manicure and I'm pretty determine to post this 1 up so I dont want to spoil it.

The fimo looks like it'll fall out any moment though..

See you peeps next time! Hopefully I'll get the feeling to start posting regularly again. Chaos!

Black Kitty!

Wah! Am I on a Halloween nails marathon? LOL

Today's manicure is inspired by a few kitty manicure posts I saw on Pinterest - which I combined into today's mani! How do you like it?

Speaking of Halloween manicures, I might be taking up a challenge throughout October to create a series of Halloween inspired nails. Hope you would look forward to it as much as I do! :)

'Minnie' Nails

Don't my nails today look very Minnie Mouse inspired? I didnt actually had Minnie in mind when I picked out the colours but this whole mani really just screams 'Minnie' - especially with the white acrylic ribbon!

The red polish used in this mani is 'Red Lights Ahead.. Where?' from OPI's new Holland Collection. I didn't think I would love this colour, but I do! 'Red Lights Ahead.. Where?' is a slightly coral red with a fantastic formula and coverage. I only used one coat for this polish and it's just so opaque! It applies really smooth like butter as well! Love it!

Was really busy making nail polish jewelries this week so there wasn't any new posts.. But I already have quite a few nail polish combinations and comparisons on my to do list. Hopefully I'll be able to find the time to do & publish them soon! :)

Double Tips

Felt like doing something with Easter feel since it's around the corner but didn't really want to do something complicated so I decided to just go with some pastel colours.

Double french tips in the prettiest baby blue (Essie Borrowed & Blue) with OPI Planks Alot & acrylic ribbon on pointer finger. It's a little weird to have my pointer finger as the accent finger, but I forgot about wanting to have an accent finger again & painted all the other fingers already. Oh well..
