Swatch - China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection: Part 2

Hi Everyone! Thanks for waiting, here are the swatches for China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Part 2!

First up is China Glaze Put A Bow On It!

China Glaze Put A Bow On It

China Glaze Put A Bow On It is a clear base polish densely filled with micro magenta glitters!

China Glaze Put A Bow On It

I used 1 coat on my pinky finger to show how fine & dense the glitters are! For the rest of my fingers, I had about 3 coats on to cover all the bald spots.

China Glaze Put A Bow On It

Application is smooth, but it's really hard to fill up the sides & the nail tip areas. I guess one of the solution for this is to apply a base color that's really close to China Glaze Put A Bow On It?

China Glaze Put A Bow On It

Really sparkly & christmas-y in actual! Pretty!

China Glaze This Is Tree-Mendous:

China Glaze This Is Tree-Mendous

China Glaze This Is Tree-Mendous is a clear base polish densely filled with green & gold micro glitters.

China Glaze This Is Tree-Mendous

1 coat on Pinky finger, about 3 coats on the rest of the fingers. Actual color in real life is a little more lime. I think it's quite close to the colour of Pine Trees?

China Glaze This Is Tree-Mendous

I'm a sucker for glitters like these. :) Majority of the glitters are green with some gold for extra bling and christmas spirit.

China Glaze This Is Tree-Mendous

Sparkling prettily under the light!

China Glaze All Wrapped Up

China Glaze All Wrapped Up

China Glaze All Wrapped Up is a clear base polish densely filled with violet blue micro glitters. My fingers would look a little green in the pictures as I had to edit the colours a little with some photo apps. This is one of the colours that my camera can never capture correctly.

China Glaze All Wrapped Up

1 coat on Pinky finger, about 3 coats on the rest of the fingers. I have tried to make the colours as close as possible to what I see on my fingers.. might still be slightly different though.. The polish looked more purple in the bottle, but more blue on the nails.

China Glaze All Wrapped Up

The formula is similar to the previous 2 polishes, but slightly easier to control on the edges.

China Glaze All Wrapped Up

China Glaze All Wrapped Up reminds me of 1 of the glitter polish from L.A. Girl. I'll probably do a comparison post soon!

Next, China Glaze Bells Will Be Blinging

China Glaze Bells Will Be Blinging

China Glaze Bells Will Be Blinging is filled with some small + slightly larger blue hex glitters, gold holographic hex glitters, and some short holographic bar glitters. And densely packed glitter.

China Glaze Bells Will Be Blinging

A close up shot on 1 coat of China Glaze Bells Will Be Blinging. I really like these half length bar glitters from this polish! They dont look or feel hairy unlike some of those previously released, and they actually look really pretty!

China Glaze Bells Will Be Blinging

Super gorgeous & sparkly! I think I have about 3-4 coats on for the 3 fingers though. Application is easy and it's not hard to fish the glitters at all. China Glaze do have great formulas for their glitters.

China Glaze Bells Will Be Blinging

Lastly, a bottle shot!

Next, China Glaze Be Merry, Be Bright:

China Glaze Be Merry, Be Bright

Unlike the previous 4 in this collection, China Glaze Be Merry, Be Bright meant more as a topper than to be used on it's own. China Glaze Be Merry, Be Bright is filled with smaller magenta and violet  hex glitters + some larger violet hex glitters in a clear base.

China Glaze Be Merry, Be Bright

1 coat on the pinky finger, and about 4-5 coats on the rest. I didnt use any base as I suck at pairing some times and I dont want to ruin this polish. =P

China Glaze Be Merry, Be Bright

The blue looking glitters are actually more violet in real life, very similar to China Glaze All Wrapped Up.

Last of the glitters, China Glaze Your Present Required

China Glaze Your Present Required

China Glaze Your Present Required is filled with multi-coloured, multi-sized glitters in a clear. Also meant to be a topper glitter polish. I can see white, gold, silver, green, blue and magenta coloured glitters.

China Glaze Your Present Required

I like how this polish looked on it's own without any base! It looked so cheerful that I felt happy just looking at it. My boyfriend thinks it look kiddy and childish though.. pfft! boys.. what do they understand.

China Glaze Your Present Required

Super gorgeous! I doubt I'll ever find a base color suitable for it though.. there's so many colours here!

Last of all!! China Glaze Travel in Color

China Glaze Travel in Color

China Glaze Travel in Color is a top coat that creates an iridescent-like effect when applied over any polish colour. Note that Travel in Color is not your normal sized China Glaze though.. it's the mini size 9.6ml bottle.

China Glaze Travel in Color

In my pictures, I'll have 2 fingers of the same polish. 1 with Travel In Colour, the other 1 without. Here I have China Glaze Santa Red My List and China Glaze So Blue Without You.

These are the 2 foil polishes in the Happy HoliGlaze collection. Iridescent effect is more obvious in real life, though it's barely there as well.

China Glaze Travel in Color

Here I have OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips and China Glaze Pelican Gray. Iridescent effect is actually more obvious than on the foil polishes above, but you cant see it as it's super hard to capture on photo. :(

China Glaze Travel in Color

To be honest, the Iridescent effect of China Glaze Travel in Color is not as great as I anticipated, but I guess I didnt really experiment with much colours as well so it might actually look great when paired with some particular colours.

One thing for sure, it doesnt go well with foil blues. -.-"

Okay! It's late now and I need to go sleep.

If you ladies are interest, all the polishes from the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze collection are now available at http://PolishAlley.com!

Good Night! I'll probably do a comparison post next!

Swatch - China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection: Part 1

Sorry for the wait! Here it is.. the China Glaze HoliGlaze collection Part 1!

First up, China Glaze Elfin’ Around

Elfin’ Around

Elfin’ Around is a orange-leaning coral foil like polish with silver micro-shimmers, described by China Glaze as aluminum-like mirror finish.

Elfin’ Around

Application is very smooth and really easy to control.

Elfin’ Around

This is a one coater. I applied 1 coat on my index and ring fingers, and 2 coats on my middle and pinkie fingers but they just looked exactly the same so I guess you can safely go with 1 coats for all.

Next, China Glaze Santa Red My List

Santa Red My List

Santa Red My List is a raspberry pinky-red foil polish with silver micro-shimmers. Very pretty christmasy colour!

Santa Red My List

Application is great for this polish as well. The silver shimmers can be hardly be seen on the nail, but I guess they would be adding some sparkle when the lights hit on them?

Santa Red My List

You can get away with 1 coats for this polish, but 2 coats does makes it slightly darker & deeper.

1 coat on index & ring fingers, 2 coats on middle and pinkie fingers.

China Glaze Mingle With Kringle

Mingle With Kringle

Mingle With Kringle is a light bright gold foil polish with bits of coppery darker gold flakes. This polish reminds me a lot of Goldie But Goodie from the Autumn Nights collection.

Mingle With Kringle

Application is smooth, but the polish tends to create bald spots. I used 2 coats on all my fingers for this.

Mingle With Kringle

When I removed the polish, the gold flakes got all over my fingers and was a pain in the ass to remove. :(

Next up, China Glaze So Blue Without You

So Blue Without You

So Blue Without You is a beautiful turquoise-blue foil polish. Polish is more turquoise in real life than shown in the pictures.

So Blue Without You

Application is smooth and will require at least 2 coats to be opaque. Stain alert! I could see some blue staining on my nails even though I only had this on for like 10 minutes and I even had a base coat on. :(

So Blue Without You

It does seems like a lot of China Glaze's blues stains right?

China Glaze Just Be-Claws

Just Be-Claws

Just Be-Claws is a really gorgeous bright red shimmer polish! Really common but is my favourite out of this half of the collection!

Just Be-Claws

Application is super smooth like the others.. kinda like jelly! I had 1 coat on my index and ring fingers, and 2 coats on my middle and pinkie fingers. You can see how 2 coats made the polish more red and luscious.. much deeper and prettier!

Just Be-Claws

So pretty! Classic red never gets old. I wonder how it compares with Ruby Pumps and Ring In The Red!

Last of this half, China Glaze There’s Snow One Like You

There’s Snow One Like You

There’s Snow One Like You is a white textured polish with matte white hex glitters in it!

There’s Snow One Like You

I have to admit that the application for this is not at all smooth. With the texture and the glitter, the polish is really really chunky. The texture bits (?) was a little transparent/translucent as well and I got really confused when applying the polish, thinking that they were air bubbles.. -.-"

There’s Snow One Like You reminds me a lot more of crystallized salt than snow.

There’s Snow One Like You

This is a polish that would probably impress your friends when they sees it during Christmas, but would be a pain in the ass to apply other times. I'm not kidding.. this is only 2 coats and it's so chunky!

Okay.. I might be exaggerating abit.. but it does feels really bad after 5 super smooth applications.

That's all for part 1 now. If you are interested, the HoliGlaze collection will be up for sale at http://polishalley.com really soon!

Stay tuned for part 2! All the glitters will be there!

OPI Pink of Hearts 2013

Today I have some swatches of the OPI 2013 Breast Cancer collection!

Every year, OPI would release 1 - 2 pink related polishes in support for spreading breast cancer awareness and this year is no different. The polishes released this year are 'Pink-ing Of You' and 'More Than A Glimmer'.

OPI Pink of Hearts 2013

In the pictures, I have about 3 coats of 'Pink-ing Of You' on my index & pinky fingers, 3 coats of 'More Than A Glimmer' on my middle finger, and 1 coat of 'More Than A Glimmer' over 'Pink-ing Of You' on my ring finger.

OPI Pink of Hearts 2013

'Pink-ing Of You' is a cute bubble gum pink that dries a glossy jelly finish! I didnt have any top coat on but look at how they are reflecting the light! The formula is really smooth and lasted 3 days without top coat on me. Isn't that fantastic?

OPI Pink of Hearts 2013

'More Than A Glimmer' is a really unique polish! It has a milky pale pink base filled with multi-sized pink, blue, green and gold glitters.. but that's not all! It's also a matte top coat! Isn't that amazing? Check out how it turns 'Pink-ing Of You' matte on my ring finger! *impressed*

OPI Pink of Hearts 2013

One last photo for a closer look - OPI's breast cancer collection for this year is definitely one of the more impressive ones with the matte glitter top coat. If you have not, I would recommend you to grab this up since it's limited edition!

OPI Pink of Hearts 2013 is now available at http://polishalley.com. Do check it out! :)
