Holographic Rainbow

I have some beautiful holographic rainbows today!

Rainbow holographic nails

This set of nail art was inspired by a post on Pinterest from pinkandpolishednails. Check out the original nail art here.

For my version, I used a few colours from China Glaze, and topped them with a coat of Jade Psicodelica for the holographic effect.

The colours I used are:

China Glaze Make Some Noise
China Glaze Neon & On & On
China Glaze Lemon Fizz
China Glaze Re-fresh Mint
China Glaze Splish Splash

For my accent finger, I used Color Club Harp On It for some extra holographic effect.

I know my holographic polish photos hasnt been very holo lately. That's because I can't seem to catch the sun anymore. :(

Either I'm too early (before I go to work in the morning), or I'm too late (after I wakes up during weekend).. so I apologies that you guys have to see disappointing holo photos these few times when the actual polish is dazzling in real life. haha

Stay tune for more nail art next time! :)

Blue Themed Nails!

Hi Ladies! Today I have another color themed post and the theme for today is blue!

Blue Themed Nails

On my index and pinky fingers, I have China Glaze Isle See You Later as base, and topped with China Glaze Don't Be A Flake.

Isle See You Later is a beautiful jelly blue polish, but it really is very very sheer. I had about 5 coats on and I can still see visible nail line.

Blue Themed Nails

On my middle finger, I have Color Club Over The Moon.. The holographic effect isnt very obvious in this photo as I didnt have enough light when I was taking the pictures. But I assure you, the effect is breath taking, especially under strong sunlight!

Color Club Pinky Swear

And lastly on my ring finger, I have this really gorgeous polish from Color Club called Pinky Swear!

Pinky Swear is filled with silver and magenta glitters in a blue shimmer base. The polish is quite dense, and probably more suitable to be used on it's own. I had 2 coats on.. Look how beautiful it is!

Well, that's all for today! I'll be doing more of these color themed nails, stay tuned!

Orange themed nails!

Hello ladies! Today I have a set of Orange themed nails for you!

Orange themed nails

I had been doing a lot nail art designs with 1 nail accent and thought I'll try doing all different designs on each of my nails this time! What do you think?

I used a total of 3 Orange shades for this set of nail art.

Orange themed nails

Thumb + Pinky Fingers: China Glaze Sun Of a Peach
Index Ring Fingers:  China Glaze White On White & China Glaze Stoked To Be Soaked
Middle Finger: Color Club Orange Crush

Initially I only wanted to use 2 shades of Orange which are Sun Of A Peach and Orange Crush, before I realize that Sun Of A Peach is much too bright and doesn't match well with Orange Crush. So I thought I'll add in a medium shade and make it like an ombre towards the middle finger.

Here's a close-up on Color Club Orange Crush:

Color Club Orange Crush

Color Club Orange Crush is a mix of pale Orange, Pink and Yellow matte glitters in a clear base. The polish can be used on it's own or over a base color, but I think I prefer it on it's own like this cos it shows the color of the polish better. :)

Orange themed nails

Here's a last pic just to show off the beautiful colors! I'm kind of loving these color themed nails, do you think I should do more of them?

Where to buy Nail Polish Online in Singapore

Hi Ladies, please excuse me for a short commercial break in between the nail art & swatch pictures. :)

I sometimes get the question of 'where I get my nail polishes' from some of my readers in Singapore & Malaysia, so I figured I'll answer this in a blog post and pin it somewhere. :)

Where to buy Nail Polish Online in Singapore

Most of the nail polishes featured in my blog can be purchased on PolishAlley.com - of cos, unless that nail polish is out of stock etc.. You know what I mean.

PolishAlley is an online nail polish store carrying popular brands such as OPI, China Glaze, Color Club and some others. It is based in Singapore with international shipping to most parts of the world. However I need to warn you that shipping prices might be steep if you are not located in Singapore or Malaysia (Malaysia Shipping rates here).

Nail Polish Price List in SGD

OPI nail lacquer - Average SGD10 each
China Glaze nail lacquer - Average SGD8 each (Ongoing promo for $4 off with 3 bottles purchased)
Color Club nail lacquer - Average SGD8.50 each
Color Club Halo Hues - SGD13 each
Seche Vite Top Coat - SGD10 each
Poshe Top / Base Coat - SGD10 each

PolishAlley also sell some nail art accessories and tools, but you will have to check out the price yourself here: http://polishalley.com/26-nail-art

Okay! That's all from me today. I'll blog again on my next nail art manicure soon! :)

Ice Cream Nails with Color Club So Crumby

I have found a new motivation to paint my nails again. :)

I bought a DSLR camera recently, something much more professional than what I was using previously. Not that I'm actually a professional or anything at taking photos (I just used it on auto mode), but damn did the photo turned out gorgeous!

Check out my first nail photos taken using my new Canon DSLR!

Color Club So Crumby

Okay, I must admit that I'm not very good at this yet, so the close up isnt very clear. But it does look really good a little zoomed out like this right? Doesnt it look like those artsy tumblr photos? :)

For this manicure, I used So Crumby from the Color Club Limited Cookies & Cream collection - a light blue creme polish filled with tiny black glitters.

The polish did tend to get slightly thick quickly, but it's still manageable if you work fast. I managed to get this in 3 quick coats.

Color Club So Crumby

Another artsy photo! haha!

For those located in Singapore, the Color Club Cookie & Cream collection consisting of 6 delicious looking shades is now available at PolishAlley.com!

Early Halloween - Little Monsters

It's stamping day today!

For my base color today, I used Color Club Worth The Risque - a beautiful silver holo polish, and stamped with Cheeky Summer plate CH32.

I am totally in love with this plate! It stamps so well and the monsters are really cute. The best thing is, the full  image design is really huge and covers my thumb nail plate easily! :)

I think Cheeky Summer plates is going to replace Bundle Monster set 3 as my favourite set of plates soon!

Lava Lamp Nails!

This is a manicure inspired by this tumblr post I saw! Thought that it's really cute and I really have to try it!

Sorry for the tipwear and nail growth though! I actually had this manicure on for a week before I took a picture of it. I'm in a reading mode these days and can hardly take my eyes off a few books that I'm reading.

I promise I'll do more nail art and post more pictures once I'm done with reading! :)

Holo Hump Day!

Today is another group mani day! Apparently Wednesday is also called Hump day because it's the middle of the week (I didnt know that).. LOL.. So today we have Holo Hump Day!

Obviously.. if you have not noticed, today we are supposed to do holo nails! I really love Holo polishes (who doesnt?) but it's a real pity that they're always so expensive! :( Please make holo polishes more affordable! I need more of them in my life!

I chose Nfu oh #66 today, one of my un-used, and it's simply gorgeous! It's so holo that it's even visible indoors! Mad Love! One thing to note though.. Aqua Base! Very very important! I have them, but forgot to use it when I was applying the holo polish and gosh! So many bald spots! It's a total nightmare!

I used 2 coats of Seche Vite here due to the stamping (Konad plate m83 with Color Club Revvvolution), so the holo-ness is already significantly dimmed.. Is there any top coat that doesn't dim the effects of Holo polishes?

Striping Tape Mani

Did a striping tape manicure using Color Club Revvolution over my previous mani - Model's own Indian Ocean - and I must say it looks FABULOUS! I love it!

Indian Ocean on it's own look mostly pale blue but under these thin stripes, it's this pinkish-purple sunset colour majority of the time! Pretty pretty!

I'm in love with this mani and the idea of using Striping tapes for tape mani. Thanks to the genius whoever she is for coming up with this fantastic idea!
