China Glaze Star Hopping Collection Swatches

Hi Everyone! A new China Glaze collection have just landed on Singapore shores but when I did a search on them, I couldn't find much information so I decided to do a swatch post!

China Glaze Star Hopping Collection

China Glaze Star Hopping collection is a 8 bottles glitter bombshell collection! From what I found out online, it was released as a Sally exclusive earlier this year. Not sure why it only came to Singapore now, but I think there are too little swatches and attention on this collection because all the colors are really super super gorgeous!

A more common glitter but still good if you don't have something like this.

OPI Color Paints Collection

Very excited to get my OPI Color Paint collection cos I've heard/read so many great things about them! I absolutely adore my OPI Sheer Tints so I'm quite happy that now I have more shades to play with.

One thing to note is that the Color Paints are mostly much more opaque than the sheer tints collection.

OPI Color Paints Collection

For my manicure today, I used a nail art brush to dap the colors from the OPI Color Paint collection on to my nails to create a water color kind of effect. I think it looks a little like tie-dye too which is actually quite pretty!

OPI Color Paints Collection

I stamped on the Silver Chrome shade 'Silver Canvas' for some effect with Bundle Monster Plate BM-312 and I think it turns out kind of cool, making the colors seems slightly muted and less strinking. Great for covering up imperfections too! :)

Have you gotten your OPI Color Paints collection too?

Polishes Used:
OPI Silver Canvas
OPI Purple Perspective
OPI Magenta Muse
OPI Indigo Motif
OPI Turquoise Aesthetics
OPI Pen & Pink

Leopard Prints with China Glaze UV Meant To Be & China Glaze Sun Of A Peach

Leopard Prints with China Glaze UV Meant To Be & China Glaze Sun Of A Peach

Leopard prints are my go-to nail art. They almost always look gorgeous and complicated but they are actually one of the easiest nail art to free hand.

For my funky leopard print today, I used China Glaze UV Meant To Be from the new China Glaze Electric Nights collection as base, and did the spots with China Glaze Sun Of A Peach and China Glaze Liquid Leather.

China Glaze UV Meant To Be is an enjoyable medium blue that is slightly darker than sky blue. Application is great. Creamy yet not too thick. I used 2 coats for this.

China Glaze Sun Of A Peach is an old polish already, but I do like how opaque and pop this color is. These kind of polishes are really great for nail art since they are opaque enough to cover almost any color with 1 coat.

Hope you like my funky leopard prints today. Tell me what are your favourite go-to nail arts!

I'm Back!

Hi Everyone! I'm back!

So I've been gone for awhile... not even sure if anyone is following this blog anymore.. But the truth is I've moved to a new place at end January and my new house doesn't get as much light.. And due to that,  I've had been having problems with taking quality picture and so I don't really have much motivation to do my nails after that..

Now the problem is solved! Determined to continue doing my nails and sharing them with everybody, I went and got myself some studio lightings.. LOL.. So now I can take nice & bright nail pictures at any time!

Here's some good old multi chrome flakies to celebrate!

Nfu Oh #58 over Black with Top Coat
Nfu Oh #58 over Black with Top Coat

I think I'm in love all over again! So pretty! And I like how my new equipments allow me to capture both the different colors and the details of the flakies! <3

The only small imperfection is that I felt that the bright lights kind of lightened the black so I decided to mattify them.

Blown away.

Nfu Oh #58 over Black with Matte Top Coat

I think it's even better after a layer of Matte Top Coat!

Seriously! What do you think? Do you prefer these glossy or matte?

China Glaze Road Trip Swatch - Road Trip Ready

I finally got the remaining colors swatched! Here are the rest of the 6 colors from set 'Road Trip Ready' which consist of some straight cremes and some shimmery cremes.

First up is China Glaze Pinking Out The Window.

China Glaze Pinking Out The Window

China Glaze Pinking Out The Window is a very pretty salmon pink creme polish. I like how this polish look on my skin tone!

China Glaze Pinking Out The Window

This is the kind of pink I like.. Very flattering and versatile. :) Formula is great too.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer

China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer

China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer is a very soft light blue polish with pearly shimmers. This reminds me of a darker version of OPI I Vant To Be A Lone Star, and a shimmery version of China Glaze At Vase Value.

China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer

Formula-wise, this polish is a little sheer and needs more coats to be opaque.. Think I applied about 3-4 coats for this. Shimmer is very soft and more obvious in bottle but hardly visible on the nail.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Glaze Boho Blues

China Glaze Boho Blues

China Glaze Boho Blues is an indigo blue straight creme polish. This kind of periwinkle blue is my favourite kind of blue!

China Glaze Boho Blues

Formula is smooth.. I used 2 coats for this. I do have a few similar shades already but hey.. you can never have too many polishes rite? :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Glaze Pack Lightly

China Glaze Pack Lightly

China Glaze Pack Lightly is a light peach polish with very soft shimmers.. Infact, the shimmers is so subtle that it's really hardly visible at all.

China Glaze Pack Lightly

This type of orangey colors is really not suitable for my skin tone.. :( Don't you think it makes my skin looks dark and dirty?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Glaze I Brake For Colour

China Glaze I Brake For Colour

China Glaze I Brake For Colour is a bright tomato red creme polish. What surprise me the most is that China Glaze actually used the British english spelling for 'colour' instead of the American spelling.. LOL

China Glaze I Brake For Colour

The application for this polish is fantastic. The polish is opaque in one coat but I like to apply 2 coats anyway for the creamy texture. Down-side is.. this polish seems to stain.. :(

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Glaze Wanderlust

China Glaze Wanderlust

China Glaze Wanderlust is a light pinkish purple polish with soft shimmers. I feel that the polish looks more purplish in the bottle but more pinkish on the nails.

China Glaze Wanderlust

Like most of the other shimmer polishes in the collection, the shimmers in this polish is very soft and kind of totally not obvious on the nails.

Formula is okay but need some work to even it out.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally it's done! What do you think of this collection?

So sorry it took so long for me to finish these swatches, but I'm in the midst of moving house and I haven't got all my polishes moved over so posts is going to be a little slow I guess. :(

China Glaze Road Trip Swatch - Destination Unknown

Hi Ladies! Today I have for you half of the China Glaze Spring 2015 collection - Road Trip.

Road Trip is made up of 12 vibrant colors, and further split into 2 sets which are 'Destination Unknown' and 'Road Trip Ready'. Today I have for you the colors in set 'Destination Unknown'.

First to be swatched is China Glaze Pop The Trunk.

China Glaze Pop The Trunk

Pop The Trunk is a shiny red-leaning Orange creme polish. The formula is very easy to apply, smooth and opaque. I have on 2 coats for this.

China Glaze Pop The Trunk

A very bold bright striking color, very suitable for the coming Chinese New Year. And I like how this shade of Orange doesn't make my fingers look yellow. :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Glaze More To Explore

China Glaze More To Explore

More To Explore is a creamy peachy coral creme polish. The formula is a little thick and hard to even out. I think I had to do about 4 coats to get everything even out for this one.

China Glaze More To Explore

The actual color is a little brighter in real life and kind of like glowing.. abit neon-ish. Much brighter than it looked in the bottle.

For some reason, this polish reminds me of China Glaze Neons and On and On.. But when I did a quick search online, Neons and On and On seems to be more pinkish.. Not quite what I remembered. *feeling confused*

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Glaze License and Registration Please

China Glaze License and Registration Please

License and Registration Please is a marine blue creme polish with a little bit of jelly-ish texture. The first coat is very sheer, but it opaques up nicely with the second and third coat.

China Glaze License and Registration Please

The actual color is slightly a darker and brighter blue than what is in the pictures. And it doesn't stain! Like finally China Glaze got it right! LOL

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Glaze Trip Of A Lime Time

Trip Of A Lime Time is described as a lime green creme polish, but I do think it's more of a yellow creme with a dash of lime in it. Reminds me a little of OPI Life Gave Me Lemons.. They are 2 different shades of yellow, but the idea is kind of the same..

China Glaze Trip Of A Lime Time

The formula for this polish is great, very smooth and evens out nicely. This type of funky colors is just not my type though.. Haha.. I'm just not sure where to wear them to.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Glaze My Way Or The Highway

China Glaze My Way Or The Highway

My Way Or The Highway is a beautiful turquoise creme polish. Probably my favourite out of this half of the collection!

China Glaze My Way Or The Highway

The formula for this polish is great, and the color is even though probably not unique but at least not something that comes up every collection.. I like it!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Glaze Sun's Up Top Down

China Glaze Sun's Up Top Down

Sun's Up Top Down is a bright yellow polish with very subtle gold shimmers. A very nice sunshine kind of color.

China Glaze Sun's Up Top Down

Formula-wise, this polish is a little hard to manage.. I did get quite a bit of bald spots and had to do at least 4 coats to get it to even out.. and even with 4 coats, I feel like I can still see VNL (even though it's not obvious in the pictures).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So that concludes the first half of the China Glaze Road Trip collection. What do you think of the colors? Is there something that catches your eye? Or do you think they are mostly similar to past collections?

I'm back + Friend's wedding nails

Hi everybody, so sorry that I had been away for so long. The truth is.. I had been really busy lately with the renovation of my new house, and I just came back from a 3 weeks long holiday in the United States. Hopefully with the new house almost ready and my holiday over, I will have more time to work on my nails and blog moving on. :)

A throwback of my nails that I did for my friend's wedding early this month. I went for a gold and baby blue theme to match my handbag for the day!

For the blue base, I used China Glaze At Vase Value which is a pretty unique minty blue creme polish, and topped it with Essence Make It Golden. I quite like this combination though I would probably prefer if there are lesser of the small gold shimmers.

As for my middle and ring fingers, I went with Zoya Solange which is from their old pixie dust collection.

What do you think of my nails? Is it too plain for a wedding dinner? For me, any color or style is forgivable since I'm not the bride.. :) (I'm only referring to the nails)
