The Sea Goddess collection is a textured collection that is slightly different from the previous ones that China Glaze had released. From what I observed, this collection can be categorized into 2 types: the sandy ones and the sparkly ones!
First up are the sandy ones:
China Glaze Teal the Tide Turns is a light teal textured polish with green glitters.
The textured bits in this polish is very fine and really felt like sand! The coverage is also much better compared to the previous textured collections by China Glaze.
A close up! Application-wise, it's like jelly polish! Super easy to control & apply.
I applied top coat over it to see what happens, and somehow it became jelly like. I don't really like this finish though. I prefer it much more without top coat.
China Glaze Shell We Dance is a bright pink textured polish with silver & pink glitters. I love the name for this one!
Shell We Dance actually reminds me of mashed Strawberries when I was applying it, however it turns into a sandy texture when dried.
Isn't it gorgeous in close-up?
Looks really squishy & jelly with top coat!
China Glaze Sand Dolla Make You Holla is a white textured polish with multi-colored glitters! Definitely my favourite out of this collection!
A beautiful close-up of a sandy beach with colorful sea shells! LOL
Totally gorgeous with top coat as well. Major love!
Next are the sparkly shimmer ones!
China Glaze Seahorsin’ Around is a turquoise textured polish with gold shimmers. I'm sorry that it looked so blue in the pictures. It's actually more green in real life (a.k.a. - just turquoise).
Here's what it actually is:
A close-up! You can see the shimmers sparkle in the bottle.
With top coat! If I were to do a comparison, I would say that for this half of the collection, the finish is quite similar to OPI's Bond Girls collection.
China Glaze Tail Me Something is a beautiful lilac textured polish with lavender tiny glitters.
You can see the tiny lavender glitters in the close-up, but they are actually not that obvious in real life. The color is beautiful nevertheless.
Sparkly with top coat over it! They tend to eat up the top coat though.. This is taken almost immediately after top coat is applied so it's still glossy.
China Glaze Wish On a Starfish is a light pale pink textured polish with gold shimmers.
A gorgeous work place friendly color!
Close-up. The shimmers are the most intense for this polish, compared to others in the collection.
It looks really shiny & pretty here.. but unfortunately I had this on for the longest (cos it's the last that I swatched), and it basically ate all the top coat & is still as gritty as ever. LOL
My thoughts:
I was never a fan of the China Glaze textured polishes but I must say that I really like these! Especially the 3 sandy ones for both their texture and their colors. :)
The sandy ones might be a pain to remove though, as they breaks down in really fine bits that really felt like sand. I wonder how they did it. haha!

Okay, the rainbow white is just too cute for words, and I just love those bright, teal blues!
ReplyDeleteOooh wow I love all these searches I have teal the tide turns I bought it on sale at Sally's and was shocked it was textured polish which is brilliant since this is an under the sea line, well this is more like the summertime than spring time for me here in New York it is not beach weather.
