Swatch: China Glaze Astro-Hot

Day 6: Today I have swatches of China Glaze Astro-Hot!

Astro-Hot is a soft baby pink holographic polish from the China Glaze Hologlam 2013 collection. This is also one of the common colours from the collection.. there are already lots of baby pink holographic polishes out there.

Application-wise, this is the best one so far. I used a normal base coat and there were hardly any bald spots, compared to the others that I had swatched which all had problems with bald spots. I almost pulled it off with one coat, but it's slightly sheer at one coat, so I still went with my normal 2 coats.

It's actually really holo! All the polishes from this collection belongs to the smooth holo kinds and not the coarse ones like ColorClub's Halo Hues. But that doesn't mean they are not as pretty!

So this adds to my collection of pink holos, I think the closest I have to this is probably MUS Britta and ColorClub Halo-grahic. I'll do a comparison post after I'm done with all the swatches from this collection!

Swatch: China Glaze SCI-FLY BY

Day 5: Today I have swatches of China Glaze SCI-FLY BY!

SCI-FLY BY is a light silver blue holographic polish from the China Glaze Hologlam 2013 collection. This is probably one of the more common colours from the collection, but the holo-ness is amazing!!

Application-wise, I used a normal base coat and there was bald spots. This is the first from the collection which I had to use 3 coats to cover up the bald spots, however application was really smooth.

I'm impressed by how holo this SCI-FLY BY is! The holo even managed to shine through under my dim room lights!

Although this colour is not very unique, but the holo-ness made up for it IMO. I'm getting impressed by this collection so far!

Swatch: China Glaze Galactic Gray

Day 4 and today I have Galactic Gray for you!

Galactic Gray is a gun metal holographic nail polish and I must tell you, it's really really super gorgeous! The dark colours in this collection are all super amazing!

Application-wise, I used a normal base coat and there was bald spots for the first coat, but the second coat covered them up pretty well.

If you look closely, I missed a spot on my pinkie and you can see the bald spot there..

We live for beautiful rainbows!

I love Galactic Gray! Definitely a must get! Don't even have to ask!!

Swatch: China Glaze OMG A UFO

Today's swatch is OMG A UFO from the China Glaze Hologlam 2013 collection. I love this one!

This polish totally exceeded my expectations! OMG A UFO is a moss green/ olive green holographic polish. I love the colour and it's more holo than I expected!

Behold the holo-ness!

I don't have anything close to this in all of my collection, holo polishes or not!

Personally I think this is 1 of the must get from this collection! (although I have not finished swatching the collection and this is probably too early for me to say something like this. =P)

What do you think of this color? Do you like it as much as I do?

Swatch: China Glaze Not In This Galaxy

I'm trying to swatch one polish from the China Glaze Hologlam Collection 2013 everyday. Hopefully I'll be able to keep to it this time!

Today I have Not In This Galaxy from the collection!

Not In This Galaxy is a warm coral holographic polish. I usually love corals, but I'm not so sure about this one. I think the colour actually makes it look less holo because the colour of the rainbow is too close to the base colour.

I don't have any coral holographic polishes in my collection, but it's actually pretty close to Jade Delirio Rosa (comparing Not In This Galaxy on my nails with Jade Delirio Rosa bottle).

Application-wise, I used a normal base coat and there was bald spots for the first coat, but the second coat covered them up pretty well.

Took more pictures this time cos I had a hard time trying to capture the holo!

What do you think of this colour? Would you get it?

Swatch: China Glaze Strap On Your Moonboots

I have a swatch post of a really beautiful polish today! It's Strap On Your Moonboots from the China Glaze Hologlam 2013 collection!!

This polish is described by China Glaze as a midnight sky blue colour with strong linear holographic of course. I guess that's kinda accurate. =P

Application-wise, it's quite okay. I used a normal base coat and there was bald spots for the first coat, but the second coat covered them up pretty well.

Really beautiful!!

Simple French Tips

Sorry for disappearing for such a long time.. I'm still painting my nails, I just got really lazy in taking photos of them and posting them up. =P Quite a few times I really wanted to post about my nails but didnt take any photos until it started to chip.. -.-"

Anyway I just did a simple french tips today, hope you'll like it. I also used fimo for the first time! Yes, I'm slow.. I know.. =P

Fimo confuses me. I dont know if I'm supposed to put top coat over it as it's kind of 3D and pops up (not sticking entirely to the nail). I didnt put top coat for this as I have a really strong feeling it'll destroy the manicure and I'm pretty determine to post this 1 up so I dont want to spoil it.

The fimo looks like it'll fall out any moment though..
