Swatch - China Glaze Off Shore collection

*Update 13th May 2014 - I have added swatches of the 3 missing polishes to the end of the post.*

Today I have swatches for the China Glaze summer collection - Off Shore - or at least part of it as I'm missing 3 bottles from the collection, can you believe it?!

Don't you hate you when there's a new collection and a few bottles of it is already gone before you can get your hands on them?

China Glaze Off Shore collection is made up of 12 beautiful creme polishes, some with a hint of jelly formula in them.

Let's check them out now!

China Glaze Feel the Breeze

China Glaze Feel the Breeze

China Glaze Feel the Breeze is a creamy princess pink creme polish.

China Glaze Feel the Breeze

Usually I'm like "pink again"? But this time, I must admit I really love the pinks in this collection.

Feel the Breeze is so so creamy looking yet it's so easy to apply. I think this is probably the best China Glaze creme formula to date.

A very pretty & chic color this is. I would definitely recommend anyone to get this!

China Glaze Float On

China Glaze Float On

China Glaze Float On is a bright creamy hot chick pink creme polish. (LOL.. sorry, but it's really hard to describe the difference between this and Feel The Breeze using just words)

China Glaze Float On

Another creamy pink polish. Float On is slightly darker & brighter than Feel The Breeze. If you ask me which 1 I prefer more, I would choose Float On because it's really gorgeous when used as a full mani.

I would probably use Feel The Breeze more for a nail art.

China Glaze Wait N Sea

China Glaze Wait N Sea

China Glaze Wait N Sea is a blue leaning teal creme polish with a formula that is almost jelly.

China Glaze Wait N Sea

Super easy to apply, though a little sheer at first coat. Actual color is a little more blue than what is shown in my pictures.

China Glaze If in Doubt, Surf it Out

China Glaze If in Doubt, Surf it Out

China Glaze If in Doubt, Surf it Out is a soft peachy Orange creme polish.

China Glaze If in Doubt, Surf it Out

Very nice & smooth formula, a little sheer but builds up nicely. Color-wise, I'm not so into this. It's a mustard yellow leaning orange that's a little weird for me.

China Glaze Stoked to be Soaked

China Glaze Stoked to be Soaked

China Glaze Stoked to be Soaked is a bright tangerine Orange creme polish.

China Glaze Stoked to be Soaked

Very creamy texture, yet super smooth & easy to apply. Super bright Orange that pops.

China Glaze I Sea the Point

China Glaze I Sea the Point

China Glaze I Sea the Point is a royal blue creme polish with a hint of purple. Definitely darker & deeper than what is shown in the picture.

China Glaze I Sea the Point

The formula for this polish is absolutely HORRIBLE. I mean it.

Somehow, the polish and the pigmentation doesnt seems to mix well even though I shook it really hard for quite a few times. Some parts of it is really gloppy yet parts of it is so thin. It's like painting with half dried paint. A complete nightmare.

A real pity cos the color is so pretty.

China Glaze Sea’s the Day

China Glaze Sea’s the Day

China Glaze Sea’s the Day is a tomato red creme polish.

China Glaze Sea’s the Day

A beautiful bright red polish that is thin yet opaque in 1 coat. I painted 2 coats anyway for the creamy texture.

The formula & color reminds me alot of OPI Cajun Shrimp which is one of my favourite to-go polish.

China Glaze Dune Our Thing

China Glaze Dune Our Thing

China Glaze Dune Our Thing is a raspberry maroon creme polish.

China Glaze Dune Our Thing

Great formula as well, creamy yet not too thick. 2 easy coats in my picture btw.

China Glaze X-TA-SEA

China Glaze X-TA-SEA is an eggplant purple creme polish.

China Glaze X-TA-SEA

Another beautiful creamy polish. 2 easy coats to achieve this.

China Glaze Be More Pacific

China Glaze Be More Pacific

China Glaze Be More Pacific is a soft apple green creme polish.

China Glaze Be More Pacific

Formula is slightly on the thick and streaky side, but I do love the color.

China Glaze Shore Enuff

China Glaze Shore Enuff

China Glaze Shore Enuff is a bright (almost neon) grass green creme polish. Actual color is much brighter than what is captured in the photos.

China Glaze Shore Enuff

*Note* For those ordering online, please take extra note that Be More Pacific is the light green one, and Shore Enuff is the darker grass green one.

I'm been seeing quite a few online stores listing them as the other way round, but I think it's because China Glaze changed the names of these 2 colors just before launch.

So please take note!

China Glaze Sun Upon My Skin

China Glaze Sun Upon My Skin

China Glaze Sun Upon My Skin is a bright pastel yellow that is not at all neon or striking. A beautiful yellow that is brighter than China Glaze Lemon Fizz, yet not in your face bright.

China Glaze Sun Upon My Skin

Formula wise it's also a little streaky and thick, but still workable.

In summary, I'm really in love with these thick creamy polishes from the China Glaze Off Shore collection.

This is probably my favourite creme formula ever.

The 3 colors that I'm missing are:

China Glaze Sun Upon My Skin
China Glaze Shore Enuff
China Glaze Be More Pacific

Which are 2 greens, and 1 yellow.

Seriously.. colors that I would really want to have. I'm going to hunt these down and hopefully be able to do a swatch on them soon.

Are you loving these as much as I do?

  1. These are all seriously GORGEOUS, but I'm so bummed that I Sea The Point had such a horrible formula because it looks awesome!

  2. Thanks for these! I'm liking Dune, and intrigued by that retro-looking bright orange. Good luck finding the greens. It'll be interesting to see how similar they are to Highlight of my Summer and the green from this spring.

  3. The pinks made me think of CG's Flip Flop Fantasy (which I don't have), but maybe I'm not even close. I wonder how they compare?

  4. Thanks for the swatches! This just came out at Sally Beauty, but I don't like buying until I've seen multiple swatches.

  6. I like the blue one,Wait n' Sea.These don't seem as neon as some of the China Glaze summer polishes from other years. You didn't need a white base underneath did you? Thanks for swatching these.:-)

  7. I live in singapore but even the usual places (nail vibe, gmarket) doesn't have it yet. Where did you get them from? Usually you are in line with nailvibe but you're really early this time!

  8. Thank you so much for the great swatches and review! :D My local supply just got this collection and I wasn't sure what to get because I hadn't seen swatches for it yet. I fell in love with Sun Upon My Face when I saw it but I wanted to see a swatch of it first - it's just as beautiful as I imagined it would be! :D Yellows are tricky for my pale skin tone but I am loving the yellows that have been coming out this year! I'm definitely going back tomorrow to get it. I'm also going to get Wait N Sea, both greens, a few of those lovely pinks, and maybe a few more... :D

And yes yes YES I hate it so much when a store gets a collection and has colors missing even though the collection is brand new! That literally just happened to me with the OPI Coca Cola Collection. There should be some way for stockists to reorder shades that sell out and get them back in the store quickly with new collections.

Thanks again for the beautiful swatches and review! They were so helpful! - Tara
