Okay! I'm finally done! Swatches of the China Glaze Monster Ball collection!
China Glaze's Halloween collection for 2013 is a glittery one and I must say some of them are really gorgeous!
Boring ones first.. First up is a textured polish - China Glaze Bump In The Night
Bump In The Night is a pure jet black textured polish similar to the ones previously released by China Glaze except that instead of drying matte, it's this shiny wet tar road looking finish.
Not my type of polish, but I know some of you are crazy over textured polishes. I still prefer the OPI glittery sands. :)
Next is China Glaze Boo-gie Down
I thought I would like China Glaze Boo-gie Down, but it ended abit meh for me.. China Glaze Boo-gie Down is filled with small, medium & large black hex glitters, some white hex & larger copper gold hex glitters and some black bar glitter in a clear base.
This polish reminds me alot of the Glitz collection. I think it could well be a Halloween glitz special. I used OPI Miso Happy With This Color as base and topped with one coat of China Glaze Boo-die Down.
China Glaze Bat My Eyes
China Glaze Bat My Eyes is a black jelly base polish filled with small gold hex glitters and some not very obvious gold bar glitters. The amount of glitters in this polish makes it a little thick but still manageable in terms of application.
I dont think this polish can be used as a topper.. Putting aside that it has a black jelly base, it's also much too thick.. I have two coats on in the photos.
In the day time.. Sorry for the chip over there. I think I actually do quite like this. :)
Bottle shot! really gorgeous right?!
Next up! China Glaze Howl You Doin'
I have mixed feelings about this one.. but looking at it long enough.. I think my decision is.. I like it. LOL
China Glaze Howl You Doin' is a dark purple jelly base polish filled with burple & fuchsia micro glitters and some larger irregular shaped orange glitters.
Does this polish look really familiar to you? Because I think it's really a copycat of OPI Merry Midnight & Orly Fowl Play.. but switching the flakies for glitters!
I'll do a quick comparison with both polishes when I got time!
Bottle shot! Does this convince you?
Last and my favourite! China Glaze Fang-Tastic!
China Glaze Fang-tastic is filled with small green, pink & purple hex glitters + some larger blue hex glitters in a clear base. I have one coat of China Glaze Fang-tastic over OPI My Vampire Is Buff in the photos.
Okay, I know my photos suck in showing how gorgeous this polish is.. but I'm really in love!!
Look at the bottle! You know what I mean? I'll snatch this up if I were you!
That's all for today! I think I have the China Glaze Horizon collection coming soon. So many swatching to do!!
BTW to all my Singapore readers, the China Glaze Monster Ball collection is now available for sale at http://PolishAlley.com

Swatch: Nabi Holographic Pefite Teal
Another Nabi swatch post while I'm still swatching the China Glaze Halloween collection. Today I have Nabi Pefite Teal!
Nabi Pefite Teal is a sea-form green holographic polish with teal flash!
The holographic effect for Nabi Pefite Teal is great compared to some of the others, and it is until now the most lasting Nabi holographic I've tried on.
It lasted for a whole 3 days without chips on my nails without any top coat!
I know I should compare against one of the ColorClub Halo Hues but I think it wouldnt be fair. =P

Nothing says, "Friday!" like NEON!
We have another group mani today & the theme is 'Nothing says, "Friday!" like NEON!'
I haven't been doing nail art for awhile so I'm really excited to do this one!
For my Friday Neon, I did some neon blocks and stamped over with Cheeky plate CH16. I really like the colours in this mani! They're so cheerful~
I'm pretty inspired by my Friday neon mani and I really want to do another with more colours and the colours less blocky! =P
Stay tuned for that! Meanwhile, check out all the other 'Nothing says, "Friday!" like NEON' contributions here!

Swatch: China Glaze Autumn Nights Part 2
Hi Peeps! Finally today I have the 2nd half of the China Glaze Autumn Nights Collection!
Click here to read Part 1!
Previously I have called the 2nd half of the collection coarse shimmers and that was before I swatched them. Now I would say they are more foil-like.
First Up: China Glaze Goldie But Goodie
China Glaze Goldie But Goodie is a rust-gold shimmer polish as described by China Glaze, and I think the main reason for that is because even though the polish looked gold, it's actually majority gold shimmers with some copper and silver shimmers.
Again, these polishes are actually what I have in mind when you say shimmers. I think the formula is closer to being foil. Goldie But Goodie is rather opaque, you can get away with a careful one coat, but I did 2 anyway.
A close up macro shot.
It's really hard to take a macro shot of the polish so sorry for it being so blur at the sides. But I think we can see what is in the polish like this! :)
Next, China Glaze Gossip Over Gimlets
China Glaze Gossip Over Gimlets is a platinum silver shimmer polish with some bigger gold shimmer flakes.
China Glaze Gossip Over Gimlets is a lot like an inverted version of Goldie But Goodie. Polish is opaque as well, with a foil like formula.
It's actually quite gorgeous! A little something different from your normal silver foils.
China Glaze Rendezvous With You
China Glaze Rendezvous With You is the most interesting shade for me in this half of the collection! Rendezvous With You is a deep plum purple shimmer polish over a very dark base. I cant tell if it's black or a really really near black purple.
It's kinda hard to photograph this polish for me because when I put up my light, the sides go black. It's a little like duo-chrome.
From here you can see clearly the purple shimmers with dark base. There's some silver shimmers in it as well.
I think this polish is the most must-get from this half of the collection!
Next, China Glaze Strike Up a Cosmo
China Glaze Strike Up a Cosmo is a rose-gold shimmer polish with some gold-copper larger flakes.
This polish keeps making me think Raspberry.. I have no idea why. haha.
Again, I think the formula is close to being foil, and it's opaque, easy to apply. Why do they say everything is shimmer?
Close up shots of China Glaze Strike Up a Cosmo. You can see the larger gold flakies over the rose base.
This photo shows more of the base. I think this polish is worth getting as well.
China Glaze Charmed, I’m Sure
China Glaze Charmed, I’m Sure is one of the only two cremes in the collection. It's a deep eggplant creme polish.. Not a colour I usually wear but I do think it's gorgeous.
Application is completely smooth for me. I didnt have the usual problem of cremes being too thick.. Very easy to control!
Last but not least, China Glaze Queen B
China Glaze Queen B is a blue-purple creme polish from the collection. Actual colour is slightly more purple in real life but it's really close already.
Under direct light. I couldnt capture the right colour on my camera so I wore it to office and used the camera at work to take these photos. haha!
Overall, some of the opinions I have heard about this collection is that the fall colours are usually pretty much the same and a lot of you probably have them.
Well, if you dont have them, this might be a good time to get them. And in my opinion, they are not really shimmers and China Glaze did try to jazz them up abit especially for the foil like polishes. China Glaze Rendezvous With You is a must get for me definitely!

Swatch: China Glaze Autumn Nights Part 1
Hi everyone! Today I have swatches of some of the new China Glaze Autumn Nights collection!
There are a total of 12 polishes in this collection which described by China Glaze as 10 Shimmers and 2 cremes. For myself, I had loosely categorized the polishes into fine shimmers & coarse shimmers + creme.
For today's post, I will be swatching the 6 fine shimmers!
First up, China Glaze Scandalous Shenanigans!
China Glaze Scandalous Shenanigans is described by China Glaze as a rich-blue shimmer polish but seriously.. I see no shimmer.
Formula and finish, I think it is really similar to some of the polishes from OPI Germany collection (if you know which are those I am referring to). It's sort of a metallic chrome like finish. Very very opaque, you can easily get away with just one coat.
I love the strong & vibrant colour of this polish, but the downside for me is.. brush stoke marks! Distinct brush stoke marks. I think they are quite unavoidable for this kind of finish. If you have some techniques that can prevent brush stroke marks, please let me know.
Next, China Glaze Red-Y & Willing
China Glaze Red-Y & Willing is a deep red shimmer polish. I love the intensity of this polish. It's one of my favourite in the collection!
China Glaze Red-Y & Willing is filled with shiny red shimmers. The shimmers are very subtle, but they are there. Does look more like a metallic finish rather than shimmer as well. Very opaque!
China Glaze Kiss My Glass
China Glaze Kiss My Glass is a blue gun-metal polish. I see no shimmers.. just plenty of metallic.
Colour is really true to China Glaze's description of Blue-gunmetal with plenty of brush stroke marks. Very opaque though.. might work for stamping.
Next, China Glaze Public Relations
China Glaze Public Relations is a violet gun-metal polish. This polish is really similar to China Glaze Kiss My Glass except that there is a hint of violet in it.
Very opaque as well, you might be able to get away with 1 coat.. but brush stroke marks is a huge problem.
I admit I wasn't trying to be careful when painting, It might look better if you are careful, I'm not sure..
Next, China Glaze Don’t Make Me Wine
China Glaze Don’t Make Me Wine is a red-violet shimmer polish. The colour is really pretty though it's not really my type of colour.
Formula and finishing is similar to China Glaze Scandalous Shenanigans. Very subtle shimmers with metallic chrome finish.
Last for today and my favourite of the collection, China Glaze Tongue & Chic!
China Glaze Tongue & Chic is a beautiful emerald shimmer polish! Actual colour is more green than shown in the picture.
This photo is much closer to the actual color. Isnt it gorgeous? Doesnt have that serious brush stroke issue as well. Really perfect!
I have come to the end for Part 1 China Glaze Autumn Nights swatch. Stay Tuned for part 2!

Swatch: Nabi Holographic Hot Pink
Nabi Holographic Hot Pink is a bright pink holographic polish with orange-y fuchsia flash. This pink is so bright that it's almost neon!
The downside of this polish it that the holo factor is kind of meh.. It is a very very fade linear holo that you can only spot if you know it's there. Otherwise, it just look like tiny holographic shimmers.
Nabi Holographic Hot Pink vs Jade Delirio Rosa |
You may not be able to see due to the super strong holo effect of Jade Delirio Rosa, but Nabi Hot Pink is a much brighter & stronger pink than Jade Delirio Rosa.
Overall, I would recommend this polish if you are looking for a beautiful bright pink, but probably not if you are looking for a strong holo polish.
